Southwestern Native American Jewelry

Navajo and Zuni artists have a long jewelry-making tradition. The Navajo were known as exceptional silversmiths, while the Zuni were known for their elegant stone-setting. In the 1930s and 1940s, some exquisite works were created by collaborations between Navajo and Zuni artists. We are fortunate to be able to offer a collection of Southwestern Native American jewelry, most of which was acquired by an individual collector in the 1960s and 1970s. The works include a massive 30-strand fetish necklace and dramatic concho belts, as well as smaller-scale pieces of distinction.
